We often face a problem of the right placement of goods, cargo pallets and various non-standard cargos while shipments in containers by railway, by sea or by truck. The integrity of each cargo package will depend on how well the products in the container are located and fixed. There are some exceptions. For example, goods in boxes. When the container is loaded closely with packages similar in size and condition, there is no danger for cargo. You should consider the distance between the edges of the stacks and the walls of the ends of the container. During transportation the container may collide with other freight tools and mechanisms. When loose cargo placement boxes can significantly be damaged and lose marketability. If there is a serious damage of the packaging there could be damage to the cargo itself. When several types of cargo are loaded in one container, especially if one of them is noticeably heavier than the second, there is a risk of contact with each other and there is high probability of damage for light product.
It is absolutely unacceptable, when the sender or forwarder do not pay attention to the protection of the goods in the container and when the elementary standards of cargo placement are not taken into account. If the cargo was placed into the container with violation of the standards, there is 90% probability that the goods will be delivered with defective tare. We advise our clients to keep an eye on loading of the container to avoid possible trouble. When the size and weight of packages are known before loading them in the container, it is easy to make a plan of the internal arrangement of railway or sea container. This is a simple task. Uniform distribution of weight in the container and securing from the shift are important elements. In the end railway and motor shipments are not air consignments, where every 100 kg influence the place of air container in the plane. It is important to observe the balance, so that the center of gravity of the container was approximately located in its center.
If we are dealing with cargo package, the weight of which is more than 3 tons, in addition to proper loading, it is necessary to make fixing of the goods. Technical standards allow setting defensive screen, bracings and blocks in the container. We know about how it is better to combine various fasteners for best mounting. When the customer does securing of cargo in the container by himself, it should be noted that each block or bracing is harmful to the container. The block spoils the floor of the container in any way. Bracing can impair the tightness of the container, if it is set incorrectly. You should agree the possibility to use such fasteners with the owner of the container. The owner may refuse carriage of cargo or to issue additional fees for insurance damage to the container. Just tell us about what cargo is planned to be transported and we will agree this with the container owner and will prepare the container with fasteners that meet the world standards and requirements for shipment.
